Power Rangers

The Yellow Ranger is a recurring character in the Power Rangers franchise, adapted from the Japanese Super Sentai series. Her first appearance was in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993), adapted from the Zyuranger series.

In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the Yellow Ranger was Trini Kwan, portrayed by Thuy Trang. Trini was a skilled martial artist and one of the original five Power Rangers chosen by Zordon to defend Earth from Rita Repulsa.

While the American adaptation presented Trini, the Yellow Ranger, as female, the original Zyuranger series featured a male Yellow Ranger, Boi. This gender swap was a notable change during the adaptation process.

The Yellow Ranger role has been held by various characters, both male and female, across the numerous Power Rangers seasons, each bringing their own unique skills and personality to the team.
