Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy, is a prominent Batman villain in DC Comics. Once a promising botany student, she was experimented on by Dr. Jason Woodrue (the Floronic Man) and injected with plant toxins, granting her a toxic touch, control over plant life, and immunity to all poisons and toxins.

Her powers often fluctuate in comics. Sometimes she's practically a plant goddess. Other times she is depowered, and reliant on her plant-based toxins to be effective. Her most consistent vulnerability is her attachment to plants which can be leveraged against her.

While she initially pursued eco-terrorism, driven by a desire to protect the environment at any cost, her motivations and allegiance have evolved. She's occasionally allied with other villains like Harley Quinn and Catwoman. Poison Ivy has appeared in countless mediums, solidifying her place as a memorable and complex character within the DC Universe.
