Dazzler, also known as Alison Blaire, is a Marvel Comics character who made her first appearance in The Uncanny X-Men #130 (February 1980). Created as a multimedia project between Marvel and Casablanca Records, Dazzler is a mutant with the ability to absorb sound and convert it into light energy.

Initially conceived as a disco singer, Dazzler's persona evolved as disco's popularity waned. She has since been portrayed as a versatile performer, using her mutant abilities in various entertainment genres.

Dazzler's powers grant her the capacity to generate dazzling light displays, blinding flashes, and even concussive blasts. Over the years, she has been associated with various superhero teams, including the X-Men, and has also pursued a solo career.
