Leia Organa, first appearing in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), is a central figure in the Star Wars saga. Adopted as a baby by Senator Bail Organa and Queen Breha Organa of Alderaan, she became Princess Leia and followed in her adoptive father's footsteps, becoming a Senator herself.

Secretly, Leia was a key member of the Rebel Alliance, fighting against the tyrannical Galactic Empire. Her courage and intelligence were vital in the rebellion's efforts. She played a critical role in obtaining and delivering the plans for the Death Star to the rebels.

Leia is revealed to be the biological daughter of Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader) and Padmé Amidala, and the twin sister of Luke Skywalker. Despite her regal upbringing, Leia is a skilled fighter and a natural leader. She eventually becomes a general in the New Republic military, continuing her fight for freedom and justice.
