Marvel

Komodo, whose real name is Melati Kusuma, is a Marvel Comics character originating from the Initiative program. A paraplegic Indonesian graduate student, Melati was chosen as a candidate due to her exceptional intelligence and strategic mind.

She received a modified version of Curt Connors' Lizard Formula, granting her reptile-like abilities. These include super strength, agility, heightened senses, and a regenerative healing factor. Unlike the Lizard, Melati retained her human intellect and control.

Komodo initially served as a recruit at Camp Hammond, training with other young heroes. She later became an instructor at the Initiative's shadow campus in Arizona. While she operated primarily as a superhero, Komodo has occasionally taken on roles within darker or more morally ambiguous situations, often operating within the gray areas of superheroics.

Her powers are linked to an energy signature she can control, allowing her to switch between her human and reptilian forms. This makes her different from most other Lizard-based characters in the Marvel Universe.
