Dominikos Petrakis, better known as Avalanche, is a mutant supervillain in the Marvel Universe, primarily associated with the Brotherhood of Mutants. He possesses the power to generate powerful seismic waves from his hands, causing earthquakes, landslides, and general destruction.

Born in Greece, Avalanche's early life is largely unknown. He was recruited by Mystique to join the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, later rebranded as the Brotherhood of Mutants. He frequently clashed with the X-Men and other heroes, using his powers for criminal purposes and mutant supremacy. His powers make him a formidable opponent, capable of leveling entire city blocks.

While primarily a villain, Avalanche has occasionally shown a capacity for change. He has, at times, worked alongside heroes or adopted a more neutral stance. However, his association with villainous groups and his destructive powers have consistently placed him at odds with the X-Men and the established order.
