Celeborn Elf Lord of Lothlorien

The Lord of the Rings

Celeborn, an Elf Lord of Lothlórien, is a significant figure in J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, most notably The Lord of the Rings. His first appearance is in The Fellowship of the Ring.

He is the husband of Galadriel and together they rule over the Elven realm of Lothlórien. Celeborn is described as tall and regal, with silver hair, embodying the grace and wisdom of the Elves. Although not as prominent as his wife in terms of magical power, Celeborn plays a vital role in the governance and defense of Lothlórien.

During the War of the Ring, Celeborn aids the Fellowship of the Ring when they pass through Lothlórien, providing them with essential supplies and counsel. After the defeat of Sauron, Celeborn leads the Elves of Lothlórien in an attack on Dol Guldur, Sauron's fortress in Mirkwood, cleansing the forest of evil. Following this victory, Celeborn and Galadriel eventually depart Middle-earth for Valinor.
