Katana is a DC Comics character primarily associated with the Batman and Outsiders family. Her real name is Tatsu Yamashiro. Katana debuted in *The Brave and the Bold* #200 (July 1983).

A Japanese martial artist, Katana's origin story involves tragedy. Her husband, Maseo, was killed by his brother Takeo, who wielded a mystical sword called the Soultaker. Tatsu managed to disarm Takeo and escape with the sword.

The Soultaker contains the souls of those it kills, including Maseo's. Katana now wields the Soultaker, which provides her with enhanced fighting abilities. She is a skilled swordswoman and martial artist, driven by vengeance and a desire to honor her husband's memory.

As a member of the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes line, specifically set , Katana is represented as a minifigure. Her minifigure reflects her comic book appearance, complete with her signature katana.
