Petunia Pig is an animated cartoon character from the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of shorts. She is a female pig designed to be Porky Pig's sweetheart.
Her first appearance was in the 1937 cartoon short, "Porky's Romance," directed by Frank Tashlin. Although initially intended to be a recurring character, she only appeared in a handful of cartoons.
Petunia often plays the damsel in distress or the supportive girlfriend role. She is generally depicted with a more refined and feminine personality compared to Porky Pig's somewhat bumbling nature.
