Unlike Andy Droid, this droid doesn't have a backstory. In the US, he was never given a name, though in the UK he was named Techdroid I (with Andy Droid being named Techdroid II in the UK). The printing on its legs is identical to that of Andy Droid. The printing on the torso under the circuitry is the same as those on figures such as the red UFO alien.

UFO Droid Blue, also known as Techdroid I, first appeared in LEGO Space sets around 1997.
