Biography:
Tobi, a masked antagonist in Naruto Shippuden, first appears in episode 32.
Initially presented as a goofy subordinate of the Akatsuki, Tobi's true identity is eventually revealed to be Obito Uchiha. Obito was presumed dead after an incident during the Third Shinobi World War where a rock crushed the right side of his body.
Obito was rescued by Madara Uchiha and manipulated into becoming his successor. Fueled by witnessing the death of Rin Nohara, Obito embraced a nihilistic worldview and sought to create a new reality.
As Tobi, he manipulated events from behind the scenes, orchestrating the Fourth Shinobi World War and aiming to capture all nine Tailed Beasts to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi.
