Hela is a character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) animated anthology series What If...?, specifically in the episode "What If... Hela Found the Ten Rings?".
This version of Hela exists within the alternate reality designated as TV-6209. Unlike the Hela seen in Thor: Ragnarok, this Hela encounters Wenwu, the wielder of the Ten Rings, at an earlier point in her history. She allies herself with Wenwu, gaining access to the power of the Ten Rings and becoming a powerful figure in his army. This makes her first appearance as an alternate variant of Hela.
As a result of wielding the rings, this Hela is more powerful than the character seen in Thor Ragnarok, but her quest for power remains a central characteristic.
