Biography:

Ava Starr, codenamed Ghost, is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She first appeared in the movie Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).

Ava is the daughter of Elihas Starr, a scientist who worked with Hank Pym. During an experiment gone wrong, a quantum energy surge phased Ava out of sync with reality, giving her the ability to become intangible and invisible, but causing her constant pain and threatening to tear her apart at a molecular level.

Bill Foster took Ava under his wing, attempting to stabilize her condition. Ava was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. to use her abilities as a stealth operative. However, her phasing also causes her intense pain. Driven by desperation to cure herself, she attempts to steal quantum energy to stabilize her condition, putting her at odds with Ant-Man and the Wasp. She is slated to appear in the *Thunderbolts movie.
