Nebula is a fictional character portrayed by Karen Gillan in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). She is a complex figure, initially introduced as a ruthless Luphomoid assassin and adopted daughter of Thanos.

Nebula's first appearance was in the 2014 film *Guardians of the Galaxy*. She is depicted as fiercely loyal to Thanos and constantly vying for his approval, often clashing with her adoptive sister, Gamora. This relationship is characterized by abuse and competition, resulting in Nebula's cybernetic enhancements and deep-seated resentment towards Thanos.

Throughout her appearances in subsequent MCU films, including *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2*, *Avengers: Infinity War*, *Avengers: Endgame*, and *Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3*, Nebula undergoes significant character development. She ultimately joins forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy and embraces a path of redemption. She even becomes an integral member of the team helping to take care of Knowhere.
