Lumberjack, also known as Silas, is a recurring character in the television series Other (2004-2007). His true origins remain shrouded in mystery, though he is believed to be an inhabitant of The Island, possibly pre-dating the arrival of the Dharma Initiative. He spends his days living a solitary life, primarily in the island's forested interior.

His most distinguishing feature is his traditional lumberjack attire, complete with a red and black checkered shirt, suspenders, and a full beard. He carries an axe, both for survival and perceived defense. Lumberjack demonstrates a deep connection to the island's natural environment and is familiar with its many secrets.

Lumberjack's interactions with the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815 are infrequent and often cryptic. He initially comes across as hostile and suspicious. He typically only appears during times of great duress or when certain characters venture deep into the jungle. Though his motivations are unclear, it's implied that he acts as a guardian of sorts, watching over The Island and occasionally offering enigmatic warnings.
