Biography:
Shiryu, also known as Shiryu of the Rain, is a prominent character in the manga and anime series *One Piece*. He first appears in the Impel Down arc.
Formerly the Head Jailer of Impel Down, the great underwater prison, Shiryu was considered as dangerous as Magellan, the Warden. His bloodlust and tendency to indiscriminately harm prisoners led to his imprisonment in Level 6, the level reserved for the most dangerous criminals.
During the Impel Down escape, Shiryu was released by Monkey D. Luffy's group to combat Magellan. However, Shiryu chose to betray Impel Down and joined forces with the Blackbeard Pirates. He is now a key member of their crew, wielding a cursed sword.
