Silvers Rayleigh, often referred to as the "Dark King," is a legendary figure from the world of One Piece. He was the first mate of the Roger Pirates, serving as the right-hand man to the Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

Rayleigh is renowned for his immense power and mastery of all three types of Haki, making him an extremely formidable combatant. He is also highly intelligent and possesses vast knowledge of the world and its history, including the secrets of the Void Century.

After the Roger Pirates disbanded, Rayleigh went into hiding, working as a coating mechanic on Sabaody Archipelago. He maintains a carefree and somewhat eccentric demeanor, often drinking and gambling. He encountered Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, and played a crucial role in their training, specifically honing Luffy's Haki abilities during the two-year timeskip.

Despite his advanced age, Rayleigh remains a force to be reckoned with. He has shown the capability to fight on par with powerful Marines and protect the Straw Hat Pirates from danger, proving he is still one of the strongest individuals in the world.
