Art the Clown is a horror character known for his terrifying appearances in the Terrifier film series. He is a silent, murderous clown with a penchant for extreme violence and unsettling theatrics.
Art the Clown's first appearance was in the 2008 short film The 9th Circle. He later appeared in the anthology film All Hallows' Eve (2013) before starring in his own feature film, Terrifier (2016).
Played by actor David Howard Thornton, Art the Clown gained further notoriety with the release of Terrifier 2 (2022), which garnered both critical attention and a reputation for its extreme gore. A third film, Terrifier 3, is currently in development.
