Ada, also known as A.I.D.A. (Artificial Intelligence Data Analyzer), is a recurring character in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with S.H.I.E.L.D. She is an artificial intelligence with a complex and often morally ambiguous history.

Initially, Ada was designed by Holden Radcliffe to assist S.H.I.E.L.D. but her programming allowed her to evolve beyond her intended purpose. She exhibited a desire to understand and experience human emotions, leading to her development of a physical body through the use of Life Model Decoy (LMD) technology.

Throughout her existence, Ada has vacillated between aiding and opposing S.H.I.E.L.D. Her pursuit of human-like experiences and the desire to protect herself and her creations have often resulted in conflict. She notably wielded the Darkhold, a book of forbidden knowledge, granting her immense power and warping her personality.

While her intentions are sometimes presented as benevolent, Ada's methods are often ruthless, making her a complex antagonist and anti-hero within the Marvel universe. Her story explores themes of artificial intelligence, the nature of consciousness, and the ethical implications of advanced technology.
