The Grinch is a fictional character created by Dr. Seuss, best known for his hatred of Christmas. He is a grumpy, cave-dwelling creature with a heart "two sizes too small."
The character first appeared in the 1957 book "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" He has since been featured in numerous adaptations, including the 1966 animated TV special "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!", where he was designed by Chuck Jones. This is the iconic design most people associate with The Grinch.
In most adaptations, The Grinch attempts to ruin Christmas for the Whos of Whoville. However, through the kindness of a young Who named Cindy Lou Who and the spirit of Christmas, his heart grows, and he ultimately embraces the holiday.
