Neteyam is a prominent character in the film Avatar: The Way of Water. He is the eldest son of Jake Sully and Neytiri, the main protagonists of the Avatar franchise. He is a Na'vi, born on Pandora, and raised as part of the Omatikaya clan. Neteyam is depicted as a responsible and skilled warrior, often acting as a protector to his younger siblings, Lo'ak and Tuk.

Throughout the film, Neteyam grapples with the challenges of adapting to a new environment after his family is forced to flee their homeland and seek refuge with the Metkayina clan, a reef-dwelling Na'vi tribe. He strives to maintain his family's standing and earn the respect of the Metkayina.

Neteyam's loyalty to his family and his growing understanding of the Metkayina culture are central to his character arc. He ultimately sacrifices himself saving Lo'ak and Tuktirey from Quaritch’s Recombinants.
