Xinh
Serial:
478
Year:
2016
Theme:
The Lord of the Rings
Biography:
The Mordor Orc represents a generalized type within J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, rather than a specific individual. They are inhabitants of Mordor, Sauron's dark land, and serve as soldiers and laborers in his armies.
Orcs are generally depicted as foul and brutal creatures, bred by Morgoth (Sauron's predecessor) through corrupting Elves or from an unknown, base life form. Their physical characteristics include a stooped posture, sallow skin, and sharp teeth. They are inherently malicious and cruel, finding pleasure in destruction and torment.
Mordor Orcs, specifically, are distinguished by their loyalty (through fear and indoctrination) to Sauron. They are heavily involved in the infrastructure of Mordor, operating the forges, mines, and other industries necessary for Sauron's war effort. They fight fiercely in battle, often overwhelming their enemies through sheer numbers and a lack of regard for their own lives.
While individual Orcs such as Grishnákh and Shagrat demonstrate distinct personalities and ambitions, they are ultimately subservient to Sauron's will, highlighting the Orcs' role as a faceless, brutal force of evil within Middle-earth.
