Biography:
Merryweather is one of the three good fairies in Disney's animated film, Sleeping Beauty (1959). Along with Flora and Fauna, she is tasked with protecting Princess Aurora from the curse of Maleficent.
Distinct from her fellow fairies, Merryweather is known for her hot temper and somewhat clumsy nature. She is easily provoked, particularly when it comes to Maleficent, and is quick to defend Aurora.
Merryweather's gift to Aurora is the ability to undo Maleficent's curse; she can't remove death from the spell, but alters it to a deep sleep that can be broken by true love's kiss. She is also the shortest of the three fairies, and wears blue.
