Cinderella is a fictional character popularized by Walt Disney through the animated film Cinderella, released in 1950. She is the protagonist of the film, based on the fairy tale of the same name.

In Disney's telling, Cinderella is a kind and beautiful young woman forced into servitude by her cruel stepmother, Lady Tremaine, and her two stepsisters, Drizella and Anastasia. Despite their mistreatment, Cinderella maintains a positive attitude and dreams of escaping her unhappy life.

With the help of her animal friends and her Fairy Godmother, Cinderella attends the royal ball, where she captures the heart of Prince Charming. Though forced to flee before her identity is revealed, she leaves behind a glass slipper, which the Prince uses to find her. Cinderella is a prominent member of the Disney Princesses franchise.
