Biography:
Howard Wolowitz is a fictional character from the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory. He first appeared in the pilot episode, "Pilot," which aired on September 24, 2007.
Wolowitz, played by Simon Helberg, is an aerospace engineer and, initially, the only member of the core group without a Ph.D. He works at Caltech alongside his friends Sheldon Cooper and Leonard Hofstadter.
Known for his outlandish fashion sense and unsuccessful attempts to pick up women, Howard lives with his overbearing mother until later in the series. He eventually marries Bernadette Rostenkowski and becomes a father.
Throughout the show, Howard's character develops from a somewhat immature and sexist figure into a loving husband and father. He is also the first of the group to travel to space.
