Arthur Morgan is a fictional character and the protagonist of the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2, developed by Rockstar Games. He is a high-ranking member of the Van der Linde gang, a notorious group of outlaws operating in the American West during the late 19th century.

Born in 1863, Arthur experienced a difficult childhood marked by loss and hardship. He was orphaned at a young age and subsequently taken in by Dutch van der Linde, who became his mentor and surrogate father. Under Dutch's guidance, Arthur learned the outlaw life, becoming skilled in gunfighting, horsemanship, and survival. He is known for his loyalty to the gang and his pragmatic, often cynical, outlook on life.

Throughout the game, Arthur grapples with his own morality as he participates in the gang's activities. Events force him to confront the consequences of his actions and question the validity of Dutch's increasingly radical philosophies. As the gang faces increasing pressure from law enforcement and internal strife, Arthur must choose between loyalty to his found family and doing what he believes is right, even if it means betraying those closest to him.
