The Nightmare King is the primary antagonist in the LEGO DREAMZzz animated series. He rules the Nightmare Realm and seeks to conquer the Dream World, plunging it into eternal darkness.
Driven by a desire for control and order, the Nightmare King views the chaotic nature of dreams as a threat. He believes imposing nightmares and fear will bring stability, however twisted that vision may be.
His powers are derived from nightmares and shadow energy, which he wields to corrupt dreams and create monstrous creatures known as Grimspawns. These creatures serve as his enforcers, spreading fear and dismantling the creative energy of the Dream World.
