Biography:
Lotso, short for Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear, is the antagonist of Toy Story 3. He is a strawberry-scented, pink teddy bear who ruled Sunnyside Daycare with an iron fist.
Lotso was once a beloved toy of a girl named Daisy, along with Big Baby and Chuckles. When they were accidentally left behind during a family outing, Lotso's initial feelings of abandonment soured into bitter resentment. He blamed Daisy for replacing them and became convinced that no child could truly love a toy forever.
This experience fundamentally warped his character. He established a hierarchical system at Sunnyside, with younger toys subjected to rough treatment by toddlers in the Butterfly Room, while older toys were condemned to the even harsher conditions of the Caterpillar Room. He maintained his control through intimidation and manipulation, crushing the hopes of newcomers and reinforcing his cynical worldview.
Ultimately, Lotso was defeated by Woody and the other toys and tied to the front of a garbage truck, marking the end of his reign of terror. While he escaped Sunnyside, he was left to be driven off by the truck.
