Prince Zuko is a central character in the animated television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. He is the exiled prince of the Fire Nation, initially presented as the primary antagonist, relentlessly pursuing Avatar Aang to restore his honor and regain his place in his father's, Fire Lord Ozai's, eyes.

Driven by a need for his father's approval, Zuko is characterized by internal conflict and a fiery temper, fueled by past traumas including a facial scar inflicted by Ozai himself for speaking out of turn. He is a skilled firebender, trained from a young age, and masters dual broadsword fighting techniques.

As the series progresses, Zuko undergoes significant character development. He begins to question the Fire Nation's imperialistic goals and re-evaluates his understanding of honor. He eventually defects from his father's side and joins Team Avatar, dedicating himself to helping Aang defeat Ozai and restore balance to the world.

Ultimately, Zuko confronts his inner demons and reconciles with his past, ascending to the throne as Fire Lord and vowing to usher in an era of peace and cooperation between the four nations.
