Lord Voldemort, born Tom Marvolo Riddle, is the primary antagonist of the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Born on December 31, 1926, to Merope Gaunt, a descendant of Salazar Slytherin, and Tom Riddle, a Muggle, he was raised in a Muggle orphanage after his mother's death.
Riddle attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, excelling academically and charming his professors. However, he secretly harbored a deep hatred for Muggles and sought to establish himself as the most powerful wizard of all time, adopting the moniker "Lord Voldemort."
