Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Ma Liang, also known as Ji Chang, was a strategist and advisor to Liu Bei during the late Eastern Han Dynasty and the Three Kingdoms period. Renowned for his exceptional eyebrows, often described as being white, he was a trusted member of Liu Bei's inner circle.

Originally from Xiangyang, Jing Province, Ma Liang and his brothers, all with unique talents, were highly regarded locally. Ma Liang's specific strength lay in his strategic thinking and insightful advice, which he readily offered to Liu Bei after the latter conquered Yi Province.

He played a significant role in the preparations for Liu Bei's disastrous campaign against the Kingdom of Wu to avenge Guan Yu. Before the battle, Ma Liang advised Liu Bei to adopt a more cautious approach. His warnings, however, were ultimately ignored.

Tragically, Ma Liang was killed during the Battle of Xiaoting, when the Wu army under Lu Xun set fire to the Shu Han camps. His early demise marked a loss for Liu Bei, depriving him of a skilled and loyal advisor.
