Biography:
Kyle Katarn, a prominent character in the Star Wars Legends continuity, debuted in the 1995 video game, Star Wars: Dark Forces. He is a former Imperial officer who defected to the Rebel Alliance.
Initially serving the Empire due to a belief in its order, Katarn learns of their atrocities and joins the Rebellion. He becomes a skilled mercenary and operative, undertaking numerous missions crucial to the Rebel cause, including the theft of the Death Star plans, an event later retconned to occur prior to the events of Rogue One.
Katarn eventually becomes a Jedi Knight, trained by Qu Rahn, a Jedi spirit. He wields a lightsaber and embraces the Force, battling Dark Jedi and other threats to the New Republic. His story explores themes of redemption, inner conflict, and the struggle between the light and dark sides of the Force.
