Biography:

Venom is a complex character primarily associated with the Spider-Man mythos in Marvel Comics. The character is a Symbiote, an alien life form that requires a host to survive. The Symbiote bonds with a human, granting them enhanced strength, agility, and the ability to mimic Spider-Man's powers, including web-slinging.

The Venom Symbiote first bonded with Spider-Man in *The Amazing Spider-Man* #252 (May 1984), after the hero damaged his suit during Secret Wars and sought a replacement. Spider-Man later rejected the Symbiote after discovering its parasitic nature.

The Symbiote then found a permanent host in Eddie Brock, a journalist whose career had been ruined by Spider-Man. This shared hatred forged the Venom persona, often depicted as an antagonist driven by revenge. Over time, Venom's portrayal shifted, with some iterations showing the character as a lethal protector, battling evil while maintaining a sometimes uneasy alliance with Spider-Man and using its powers for good.
