Giant-Man is a Marvel Comics superhero identity primarily associated with Dr. Henry "Hank" Pym. He first appeared as Giant-Man in *Tales to Astonish* #49 (November 1963).
Hank Pym, a brilliant scientist, discovered "Pym Particles," which allow him to alter his size. By utilizing these particles, Pym can grow to immense proportions, gaining superhuman strength and durability commensurate with his increased size. He also retains his intelligence and scientific knowledge while in his giant form.
As Giant-Man, Pym has been a member of the Avengers, using his abilities to battle various threats. While he has primarily been known as Giant-Man, he also used the identity of Goliath, but the core ability to grow to massive sizes remains the same.
