Goblin Queen, also known as Madelyne Pryor, is a significant character in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the X-Men. She first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #168 (1983).
Initially introduced as a love interest for Cyclops, Madelyne was created by Mister Sinister, a powerful geneticist, as a clone of Jean Grey. Sinister's goal was to produce offspring between Madelyne and Cyclops to create powerful mutants.
After Cyclops and Madelyne married and had a son, Nathan (later Cable), Jean Grey's resurrection led to Cyclops abandoning Madelyne. This abandonment, coupled with Sinister's manipulation, triggered Madelyne's latent psionic powers and drove her insane.
She embraced her dark side, becoming the Goblin Queen, a powerful sorceress. She attempted to transform Earth into a demonic realm during the "Inferno" event. Her story is marked by manipulation, heartbreak, and a descent into madness, making her a tragic and formidable villain in the X-Men mythos.
