Boa Hancock is a character from the Japanese manga series One Piece, created by Eiichiro Oda. She is the captain of the Kuja Pirates and the only female member of the Shichibukai, a group of powerful pirates allied with the World Government.
Known as the "Pirate Empress," Hancock rules over Amazon Lily, an island inhabited solely by female warriors. She possesses the power of the Mero Mero no Mi, a Devil Fruit that allows her to turn anyone who lusts after her into stone.
Boa Hancock is initially introduced in the story arc around episodes 409-410 as she becomes the first female warlord Luffy encounters in the series.
Despite her arrogant and self-centered demeanor, Hancock develops strong feelings for the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, and becomes a valuable ally to him throughout the series.
