Eugene Patilio, better known as Frog-Man, is a somewhat inept, yet earnest superhero in the Marvel Universe. Inspired by heroes like Spider-Man, Eugene sought to use his father's inventions – faulty, spring-loaded boots – for good. His father, Vincent Patilio, was once the supervillain Leap-Frog.
Determined to redeem his family name, Eugene adopted the Frog-Man identity. While his leaping abilities were initially clumsy and unreliable, he gained experience and improved his control over time. Often portrayed as a comedic character, Frog-Man's earnest desire to help others endears him to both heroes and readers.
Frog-Man has faced a variety of villains, often those of a lower tier.
