Jayce is the protagonist of the 1980s animated television series, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. He is portrayed as a young man, the son of botanist Audric, who is tasked with a critical mission.

Following an experiment gone awry, Audric is forced to separate the components of a magical root, splitting them between himself and his son for safekeeping. He then becomes trapped, leaving Jayce with half of the root and a mission to find him and reunite the halves.

Jayce leads the "Wheeled Warriors," a team consisting of Herc Stormer, Flora, Gillian, and his dog Oon, in their battle against the evil Monster Minds, plant-like creatures led by Dischord. The series chronicles their adventures as they travel across the galaxy in search of Audric and the means to defeat the Monster Minds.

Jayce's distinguishing feature is the golden amulet he wears, one half of the root's essence, which reacts when the other half is near. He is courageous, resourceful, and dedicated to his mission, embodying a classic hero archetype.
