Bud is one of Harley Quinn's two pet hyenas, the other being Lou. In Batman: The Animated Series, Bud and Lou are depicted as mischievous and loyal companions to Harley, often assisting her in her schemes, though sometimes causing unexpected complications.

The pair first appeared in the Batman TAS episode "The Laughing Fish" which aired in 1992. They are easily identifiable in the cartoon due to their distinctive appearances. Despite being hyenas, they are treated more like oversized, playful dogs by Harley.

Bud is also the name of a hyena included as a Pad Printed figure in the LEGO DC Super-Villains: Harley Quinn's Hideout set.
