Hanzo of the Salamander is a prominent figure in the Naruto Shippuden anime and manga series. He was a legendary ninja and the leader of Amegakure (Village Hidden in Rain). Feared throughout the ninja world, Hanzo was known for his immense power and strategic mind.
Hanzo gained notoriety for his battle against the young Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru. After surviving the battle, he acknowledged their strength by bestowing upon them the title of the "Legendary Sannin." He appears in the manga in Chapter 372, and in the anime in Naruto Shippuden Episode 128.
His power stemmed, in part, from his symbiotic relationship with a poisonous salamander, Ibuse. Hanzo utilized Ibuse's venom in combat, coating his weapons and making him a formidable opponent. Despite his strength and influence, Hanzo was eventually killed by Pain during Pain's takeover of Amegakure.
