Y'Mera Xebella Challa, known as Mera, is a character in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) portrayed by Amber Heard.
Mera made her first appearance in the DCEU in the film *Justice League* (2017), ahead of her larger role in the *Aquaman* (2018) film.
She is depicted as the daughter of King Nereus and Princess of Xebel, a separatist Atlantean kingdom, and is eventually betrothed to Orm Marius, Aquaman's half-brother. Mera possesses hydrokinetic abilities, allowing her to manipulate water, and serves as a skilled warrior and advisor. She assists Arthur Curry (Aquaman) in his journey to claim his rightful place as King of Atlantis and works alongside him as a prominent member of the Atlantean court.
