Gotenks is a fictional character from the popular anime series Dragon Ball Z. He is the result of the Fusion Dance, a technique taught to Goku by beings from the Other World, used by Trunks and Goten, the sons of Vegeta and Goku respectively.
Gotenks first appears during the Majin Buu Saga, providing a powerful, albeit often reckless, warrior against the titular antagonist. Because the Fusion Dance has an extremely short time limit, and the two young boys are not always successful at executing it correctly, Gotenks exists for a limited duration.
His personality is a blend of Goten and Trunks; arrogant, playful, and confident in his abilities, often to a fault. He possesses immense power due to the combined potential of the two Saiyan youths. Gotenks utilizes unique and often comical special attacks, reflecting his youthful nature and his creators' personalities.
