Biography:

The Uruk-Hai are a fearsome breed of Orcs in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Unlike common Orcs, they are larger, stronger, and able to withstand sunlight to some extent.

They first appear in *The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers*. Bred by Sauron and Saruman, they were designed as superior soldiers, lacking the typical Orcish aversion to daylight.

Their allegiance lies primarily with Saruman at Isengard, where they form a significant part of his army. They are identifiable by the White Hand symbol worn on their shields and helmets.
