Hu Tao is a playable Pyro character in the action role-playing game Genshin Impact, developed by miHoYo. She first appeared during the Version 1.3 update, specifically in the "All That Glitters" event which launched in February 2021.

She is the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor in Liyue, a role she assumed at a young age. Despite her position, Hu Tao is known for her eccentric and playful personality, often prioritizing pranks and creative endeavors over traditional funeral rites.

In combat, Hu Tao is a polearm user who specializes in dealing high Pyro damage. Her abilities revolve around sacrificing her own health to empower her attacks, making her a high-risk, high-reward character. She is also known for her unique sprinting animation, where she transforms into a spirit-like form that can pass through enemies.
