The Camel is a rideable mob introduced to Minecraft in the 1.20 update, also known as the Trails & Tales update.

Camels are passive creatures, meaning they will not attack the player. They can be found in desert villages, and are notable for their tall stature and ability to carry two players simultaneously.

Players can equip a Camel with a saddle to ride it. When ridden, the Camel can "dash," covering ground more quickly, and it can also be used to cross small gaps, making travel across desert biomes more efficient.
