Biography:

C-3PO is a protocol droid from the Star Wars universe, fluent in over six million forms of communication. He is characterized by his golden, humanoid appearance and his often anxious and cautious personality.

C-3PO's first appearance was in the movie Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977). He is typically partnered with the astromech droid R2-D2, with whom he shares a long and complex history throughout the Skywalker Saga.

Built by Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine, C-3PO's original purpose was as a helper droid. Over time, his memory has been wiped several times, preventing him from fully remembering his past. However, his core programming and loyalty to his friends remain constant throughout the series.
