Qu Yi is a minor character featured in Luo Guanzhong's historical novel *Romance of the Three Kingdoms*. He first appears relatively early in the narrative.
Qu Yi serves as a vanguard general under Yuan Shao, a powerful warlord vying for control of China after the collapse of the Han Dynasty. He is known for his bravery and skill in battle, and is presented as a formidable opponent.
He is instrumental in some of Yuan Shao's early victories, specifically against Gongsun Zan. However, despite his battlefield prowess, Qu Yi's ambition and arrogance ultimately lead to his downfall. He is eventually executed by Yuan Shao, who sees him as a threat to his authority.
