Beaker is a Muppet character known for his timid demeanor and frequent unfortunate accidents. He is the perpetually harried assistant to the more assertive scientist, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew.

His defining characteristics include his orange skin, shock of bright red hair, wide, worried eyes, and a weak, high-pitched "Mee-mee-mee" vocalization. Beaker rarely speaks clearly, instead communicating through panicked squeaks and cries.

Beaker's primary role is as the unwilling test subject for Dr. Honeydew's often dangerous and unpredictable inventions. He is frequently subjected to explosions, electric shocks, and various other forms of slapstick mayhem. Despite these constant mishaps, he appears resilient and invariably returns for the next experiment.

First appearing on The Muppet Show in 1977, Beaker quickly became a fan favorite. His relatable vulnerability and the inherent humor in his perpetual misfortune have made him a lasting and beloved Muppet character.
