Princess Peach, often referred to simply as Peach, is a central figure in Nintendo's *Mario* franchise. She is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, a land frequently targeted for invasion by Bowser and his Koopa Troop.

Peach's first appearance was in the 1985 video game, *Super Mario Bros.*, where she was the damsel in distress, kidnapped by Bowser and requiring Mario to rescue her. This established a common narrative throughout the series.
