Pochita is a central character in the manga and anime series Chainsaw Man. He is a Chainsaw Devil, a powerful devil embodying the fear of chainsaws. In weakened form, he resembles a small dog with a chainsaw protruding from his face.

Pochita formed a contract with Denji, a young man burdened by his deceased father's debt to the Yakuza. Denji, struggling to survive, offered Pochita his blood and became a Devil Hunter to earn money. Pochita granted Denji the ability to transform into Chainsaw Man, allowing Denji to sprout chainsaws from his head, arms, and legs.

Initially, Pochita's motives are not fully explained, and his true nature remains mysterious. As the story progresses, it's revealed that Pochita, as the Chainsaw Devil, possesses the unique power to erase devils from existence entirely, including the very concept of their existence from people's memories. This power makes him both feared and hunted by other powerful devils.

Pochita's initial form is a consequence of weakening battles. Pochita later becomes Denji's heart. Denji only turns into Chainsaw Man because of Pochita.
